Having started off the season strong with a win over conference rival, Sheehan High School, the Foran Girls tennis team continued to soar. Their main achievements arrived with the acceptance of three players into the All Conference Division Two tennis team. The number one singles player, senior Manon Loonis, and number one doubles team, junior Amy Ear and sophomore Kristen Harrington, were honored by the New Haven Register for their achievements throughout the tennis season.

The Girls Tennis team also made the SCC tournament, competing against other teams in their conference. With a tough first draw of the number one seed Chesire, the Foran Girls tennis team was knocked out of the tournament in the first round. However, the Girls tennis team also made team states. They faced RHAM in the first round at Joel Barlow. Due to rain, only the first four matches were played, but the girls were unable to advance into the second round.

Two teams from the Girls Tennis team made the individual state tournament. The number one doubles team, Amy Ear and Kristen Harrington, along with the number two doubles team, junior Jill Saydlowski and freshman Becca Raucci, will be heading to the Yale tennis courts on May 31st.
